Myo-Structural Bodywork Sessions: The “Myo-“ refers to the focus on treating of muscle(s) to bring the Client’s physical structure back into proper balance. While Myo-Structural refers to the strategy of how we decide WHERE (which muscles, or parts of muscles) to work, we use our hands-on, manual technique to actually treat the muscles.
The word “muscle” traditionally INCLUDES the fascial sheaths closely and intimately encasing the muscle fibers. Those fascial sheaths also converge to become the tendons at the ends of each muscle. Therefore this author tends to call them “musculo-fascial units.”
